How Does It Work?
Tools for organising safer celebrations
Creating a safer party atmosphere does not depend on a single measure, but on a way of thinking about hospitality, prevention and support.
Through this platform, Souk Rassek shares tools, guidelines and lessons learnt from its experience to help teams incorporate these issues in a practical way into their events: awareness-raising, training, mediation, protocols and support.
These resources are designed to stimulate your thinking, inspire your practices and support you in developing an approach that suits you, tailored to your event, your teams and your audience.
Our Initiatives
TRAINING & LISTENING UNIT
Prevention and mediation based on kindness.
Souk Rassek is an awareness initiative built on a strong belief: preventing gender-based violence requires both training and mediation.
In festive environments, where emotions move quickly and sensitive issues can be difficult to address directly, the listening unit plays a key role. It provides a space for protection and awareness, while also promoting and sharing practices rooted in kindness and care.

BOOTH AT L'BOULEVARD
A space for welcoming visitors, sharing ideas and listening, at the heart of the L’Boulevard festival.
A mediation booth similar to the one at Souk Rassek is not merely an information point.
It is a landmark, a space for welcome and support, as well as a place for connection at the heart of the event.
For the 4S Association, designing a booth means creating a space where different intentions can coexist. Some people may stop out of curiosity, others to exchange a few words, and others because they are experiencing discomfort, concern, or simply need someone to listen. The booth must be able to welcome all these people equally, without hierarchy, pressure, or any expectation to speak.

MEDIATION & AWARENESS
Experiential workshops to discuss consent, respect and care through play and creativity.
In festive environments, awareness cannot rely solely on informational messages or top-down communication. Celebration is a space of bodies, sensations, relationships and pleasure. Mediation workshops offer an opportunity to explore gender-based violence, consent, respect and care through experience, play and creativity.
At Souk Rassek, we stand for a simple but fundamental idea: you can have fun while raising awareness. Pleasure, curiosity and creativity can often make messages more accessible and more lasting.
The workshops become spaces where people laugh, create and share, while opening the door to deeper and sometimes intimate reflections.

OUTREACH
Providing on-the-ground support in potentially high-risk situations with calm and compassion.
In festive environments, situations involving gender-based violence, emotional distress, anxiety attacks, or physical or psychological discomfort can arise quickly, in contexts marked by noise, crowds, fatigue and heightened emotions.
In such situations, the absence of clear guidelines can make things more difficult for both the people involved and the teams on the ground.
For Souk Rassek, preparing teams in advance with the right approach and crisis-management tools makes it possible to respond with calm, consistency and kindness, placing protection, care and coordination at the heart of every intervention.
